Funded Conferences

UR offers funding to students attending certain conferences. Students attending other conferences are encouraged to apply for funding through our travel grants as soon as they receive notice of their acceptance. Here are the conferences to which students will be funded for acceptance:

NCUR
NCUR 24 will be accepting abstract applications beginning Friday, October 1, 2009.
Presenters must complete the online abstract submission form at NCUR abstract page to be considered for acceptance.  The deadline to submit your online form was December 1, 2009.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research was held at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse in Missoula, Montana , April 15-17, 2009.  NCUR accepts research and creative presentations in all disciplines, and provides a wonderful opportunity to see the work of other undergraduates from around the country.  Any full-time USF undergraduate whose research is accepted for presentation will receive funding from the Office of Undergraduate Research to attend this stimulating conference. Only one author will be guaranteed funding per presentation. Please contact us at ur@ur.usf.edu as soon as you apply to ensure you are on our list.

AABSS
Here is a way to travel, present research, have fun and improve your resume at no cost to you.

This is a professional conference which accepts student papers. It is unusual in that it focuses on the social and behavioral sciences, business and education.

Please let me know if you are working on a research project and I will help you with the proposal. We will pay all expenses of those presentations approved by me and accepted by the conference.
